Day 2 in London

Okay, so we're a day behind in our blog, but apparently we needed 10 hours of sleep. Day 2 was Sunday, so the city was a little quieter according to our tour guide. He was talking about the traffic, I think. The city was loaded with tourists as you will see in some of our pics. Also....it was 50 degrees and occasionally raining....oh well.

The London Eye was nothing like we expected. It was very pleasant and nothing like a ferris wheel at all and the view was spectacular!

This capsule was empty because it was broken, but the rest were all filled with 25 people each and the Eye never stops moving....you have to get on very quickly. :)

View from the Eye: Parliament and Big Ben on a cloud day.....

Close up of Big Ben as it struck noon.

Did not even know their was a Royal Guard Band, they played "Rocky" and then marched towards Buckingham Palace. The Queen was away for the weekend.

Saw this bird in Hyde Park.....does anybody know what it is? Is it in the Stork family???
